Cornerstone Home Health Care Services has been serving the residents of Collier, Lee, Sarasota, Charlotte, and Hendry counties of Florida for over 14 years to the present day

Our sister companies, New Life Home Health & New Covenant Home Health Care are based in Illinois and have been serving the Illinois resident's for over 17 years. Our companies were founded in 1990 by Perla J. Cordero. She first started as a volunteer for meal-on-wheels, serving the Chicago area. As she continued to volunteer her time, she saw the need for more personal & compassionate in-home care for the elderly.
From this idea, she founded New Life Health Care Services. It was first started as a non-skilled nursing agency including services ranging from companionship, running errands, to light housekeeping. Unexpectedly, Perla Cordero passed away due to Breast Cancer in 1999. Her sister, Eunice Cordero, soon became the administrator of New Life.
New Covenant Home Health was founded in 2004 to help fill the need for in-home skilled nursing in the community. As the two companies grew, our vision for helping communities nation-wide expanded.
Thus, in 2005 Cornerstone Home Health Care Services was founded in the state of Florida. Edwin J. Cordero, brother of Perla & Eunice Cordero, became the administrator for Cornerstone and presently still runs the company with care & diligence.
Perla's original vision of providing quality & personal in-home care continues to live today through her family & company.

My recovery has been great. I’m glad I had the opportunity to work with Cornerstone Home Health Care Services

I have known Edwin Cordero for approximately 2 years. We have referred several patients from our Neonatal Unit to Cornerstone Home Health Care for follow up services and have been very pleased with the quality care they have received. I have never heard anything but the best about Cornerstone. They are extremely professional, compassionate, & dedicated....It is my pleasure to recommend Edwin & Cornerstone Home Health Care to anyone requiring home care...

The company treats you like family. They care for my son like he is one of their own. We are always staffed with competent nurses. We have used other nursing agencies, but no one has ever measured up to the loving care we get.

My daughter was diagnosed with Near-SIDS at the age of 6 weeks, she went 18 minutes without oxygen to the brain. This left her with damage which required her to be ventilator dependent. She had to have 24 hour nursing care at home. Edwin Cordero (Cornerstone Administrator) trained the nurses, myself and family on all aspects of the ventilator. I am proud to say that the care and training we received is excellent.

A letter of gratitude to you and your staff for sending us Lili and Carol who come weekly. Lilli is a smiling, agreeable and competent Home Health Aid. She is always aware of John and responds to his needs immediately. When he take naps during her time here, she is quick to locate chord she can do for me around the house. They are a tremendous Help to me since I am so old now and fatigue quickly. Although asking me first, she will quickly get things thoroughly done. Her politeness and willingness to stay busy is so delightful and appreciated. She is a great employee and representative of your Agency, Thank you so much for making her available to us. We are so happy with her.

Thank you for your generosity in forgiving Mr. Kolka’s outstanding balance. His death has been very difficult on Mrs. Kolka and she was extremely concerned on how she was going to pay for the great care he received by your staff. It was a huge relief when I called her today to inform her of your decision and she was extremely grateful. As I know, you work with other veterans and our heroes. Please know that you have our supper in the services you provide. On behalf of Mrs. Kolka, myself, and the Crawford Co. Veterans Services Office, we thank you!
